Kelly Brightbill lives in the Mid-Ohio Vally, where he has spent most of his life. Kelly became interested in art in Kindergarten and never stopped drawing. He was first introduced to the fantasy genre through fantasy gaming during his pre-teen years. In high school, Kelly took every art class and spent most of his time in the art room. He became the first Artist of the Year at his high school.

     After high school, Kelly joined the United States Army where he served as an armor crewman on the M60 and M1A1 tanks. He held the rank of sergeant and completed a one-year tour of duty in Korea. During his four years of active duty and four years of national guard, Kelly created murals, signs, certificates, and company logos.

     In addition to his military service, Kelly has also been a security guard, police officer, and a professional decorator for the Fenton Art Glass Company. Kelly painted glass at Fenton's for more then 12 years, and has been the feature artist in the company's magazine, the Glass Messenger, March 2003, Issue One. His art work has also been used for the cover of a local college's artists'/poets' magazine, Confluence, 2000, Volume 11. Recently Kelly's piece titled "Moth to the Flame" has been published in GASP Magazine issue #3 2008.

     Kelly attends classes taught by fantasy artist, Larry Elmore. In addition, he has just completed his Associate of Applied Business degree in Computer Systems/Computer Graphics at Washington State Community College. Kelly has been commissioned to create several art pieces, from oil paintings to pencil drawings, and he hopes to continue his freelance work.
